My longform doc IN SEARCH OF DARKNESS: 1990-1994 is also nominated for Best Documentary of 2024; and my book In Search of Tomorrow: The Ultimate Companion to the ’80s Sci-Fi Documentary (written by Abbie Bernstein) is nominated for Book of the Year.
It’s an embarrassment of riches, but the validation of a Rondo nomination is also a testament to the labor of love that goes into all of these projects, both by the hard-working team behind the book and the documentary, or by myself with IT CAME FROM…

IT CAME FROM… is a passion project for me, so to be recognized alongside a number of contemporary and illustrious classic horror/genre sites is an absolute honor. It is a wonderful validation for the concept of “do what you love and the rest will follow.”
I want to thank David Colton and The Classic Horror Film Board for recognizing my work and the spirit of what I do. There is so much amazing content to consume in a single year in so many media categories, so major kudos to David and his helpers to make this event happen 20+ years running…

The Rondo Awards, named after Rondo Hatton, an obscure B-movie villain of the 1940s, are conducted annually by The Classic Horror Film Board and honor the best in classic horror research, creativity and film preservation.
IT CAME FROM… has now been nominated seven times by The Classic Horror Film Board for Best Website of the Year — in the 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and now 23rd Annual Rondo Hatton Awards.
