Curious to find out a little more about who the heck is writing this blog? Here’s a brief interview I did for MUCK RACK that may provide some insight into who I am:

Writing as an online journalist for Lightspeed Media and AOL’s flagship site, Entertainment Asylum.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
That’s a loaded question.
David Weiner, creator of IT CAME FROM…
How is social media changing news?
Dramatically — in addition to instant gratification coverage, it also serves to rapidly misinform and encourage sensationalism.
Who’s your favorite fictional journalist?
Perry White, editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Responsibility to inform, be truthful — and entertain when possible.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I happily write about film and current entertainment happenings, with a strong emphasis on pop culture nostalgia and looking back at classics.
Who do you wish followed you?
People with a sense of humor who can spread the word and not muddy the story.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was a contributing writer for The Green & Gray.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I enjoyed breaking the news that the original STAR WARS cast would return for Episode VII — a year before it was officially announced.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Pursue stories that you’re interested in and hone your skills with the 5 W’s (and how!)
